There was a man who had a dream...
There was a man who inspired us...
There was a man that said it all.
Yet, forty-eight years later, there is still that hate that separates us from our brothers and sisters, so his dream, has not yet been fulfilled completely.
This man lead a hundred peaceful marches, to unity, to integration, to the right we all have to human rights. He lead a million men (and women) to demand for their civil rights. And then, we turn our eye to that that is unpleasant to our judgement, we do not see that which is blocking the dream to be realised, we remain silent.
That man told us our enemy could say whatever they wanted, but we would always remember the friends who remained silent.
There is a new generation of discrimination that lives among us, not so extremely visible, but always present, that is no less worthy of being fought for; we shall not stand there, actionless, voiceless, but do what we must do. Fight for our democracy, our liberty, and our comunity. There is no boundaries, no politics, no such thing as a foreign country, when the problem, is not so foreign to us.
This man should serve as an example to all humans, not only those of the race who were benefitted by his efforts, but by all, who know where the justice should be, who want to follow in his footsteps, like myself, who want to fight war with peace, against the authority who denys the truth.
In memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., On M.L.K. day.
